Students used Wacom tablets and pens to digitally paint a macro photograph in Photoshop. They created a contour outline, blocked colors, and blended the values or hues together. The artwork was assessed on the following criteria: the composition or layout of the cropped image; accuracy and attention to detail compared to the original; digital painting technique and blending; and the effort and persistence associated with choosing challenging photographs.
